My husband, Mogens, and I live in Cypress, TX, which is just northwest of Houston. We have two daughters who live and work in Houston. One is married and has a daughter; one is getting married in October. I am very involved both at the local, region and national level with the Embroiderers' Guild of America. Along those lines, I also design and teach embroidery and beading. After leaving St. Angela, I graduated from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia and taught school for 7 years before retiring to raise our daughters. We moved to Texas from Pennsylvania in 1978 and have been here since. My mother, Linda Schumacher, was on the faculty of St. Angela and has passed away. She and my dad moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1962.
